Geschoten op een onredelijk warme dag in Augustus, 2011, bij een meertje in het midden van een weiland. Bijna geen vissers zijn lichtelijk verontrust geraakt door onze acties.

Fear.

There is great power in fear, you know. The primordial will to survive. To live.Can one truly live if one cannot die? Does it even matter?

Sometimes I think I remember. How it used to be.

Sunbeams, casting warm light through the forest roof. Merry voices, music and laughter. Midsummer, when the veil is at its thinnest. They would call us with their songs, dancing around the bonfire, and we would come. Did I dance with them? I think I did. I can still feel their warm, white hands in mine, the touch of their course skin, the sweet smell of their sweat...We would go into the forest afterwards, find a secluded patch of grass somewhere.Visions of beauty, and joy. Of bodies moving to the rythm of the earth itself.So tangible, so real - so like and yet so unlike our own.

Reality. It's nothing but a piss-poor joke from our creators. Or should I say: conceivers? The dreams, the visions, they are gone now. Vanished. Evaporated, into nothingness. As will we all, eventually. So why bother? I tried. Tried to disappear. And yet here I am. I think. Isn't that funny? I'm ...

Demonhunter

En samen jaagden zij... Op mannen. Op vrouwen. Op allen die onrecht hadden gedaan en zouden begaan.

Eerst verleidde ze hen zoals zij anderen hadden verleid. Dan als ze bijna bij haar waren, dan glimlachte ze met een kant van haar zwarte lippen opgetrokken...

En al wat deze monsters dan nog zagen, waren haar 4 grote lange nagels... een klauw, en ze hoorden het gescheur van vlees, het gekraak van botten. Hun eigen botten. En voordat zij het doorhadden voelden zij de pijn van al die zielen die zij onrecht hadden gedaan. Wetend dat deze pijn nooit over zou gaan.... Zij zouden branden in de hel tot in de eeuwigheid.

I had plans for him. It's a shame really...

I may seem like just another lady in waiting. Just another woman who needs to be protected by a strong man. But there is more to me than meets the eye.

It's not that Fedor doesn't protect me well. It's not that I don't love him. It's just that I want to be independent. Take care of myself. Use the talents the Gods blessed me with. And there he was, just lying there. Fresh and intact. A knight of my very own. Fedor wouldn't hear of it, but I wanted to have him. With just a bit of my magic, he rose. And he was beautiful. So strong. So obedient.

I don't know who that woman was. She was just passing by. Apparently, my raising an undead knight was reason enough to attack.

Such a shame...

"Our times are changing.

Civility and discretion were once highly valued among men. Beauty was measured by serenity and grace. To please a man, the right thing for me to do was only to turn the inside of my wrist to him while pouring his teacup, showing just a slight bit of my naked skin; it was considered a most erotic gesture.

Nowadays, the various forms of sensory overload men receive from television, the internet, or just everyday life, have dimished this effect. We Modern Geisha's now need to be more daring to accomplish our goal, and if not by graceful nudity, then by our actions.

How can just grace and serenity sustain us in current times? Why would a high-class courtesan not act playful and daring to satisfy a man? I would happily climb a tree, and play with the branches to get that special smile on his lips "

Uncanny cuteness

For this shoot we aimed for "uncanny cuteness". It started out very friendly, with bubbles, carebears, fluffy ears and lots of pink, but we slowly ended up... less friendly :) Those gasmasks do come in handy sometimes.. We had a lot of fun during the process! :)
