My posts | Family Boo keeps the road hostage

For some reason or another I just could not sleep last night. At all. And that feels like... hmm did you ever have to turn of a XP or Vista powered laptop before in when you're in a hurry, and your laptop then decides to just sit on the "saving your settings" screen for a few minutes seemingly doing completely nothing at all before actually deciding to power off (or even worse: taking just that time to install apparently vital updates..) well that's how I felt last night: my head just kept churning and churning and I just would not shut down properly...

(just to annoy someone who I still haven't convinced to install a real operating system.. there you'd press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, click Halt, and be done in 30 seconds, max.)

So as soon as it was light enough I decided to get up and take a stroll through the nearby park, which I haven't done before. And apparently this park is as close as we get in The Netherlands for a National Wildlife Preservation park. It's not national, and it's definitely not wildlife, and I wouldn't call it preserved but okay. :-)

Back to the reason for the title of this pseudo-rant. Somewhere along the only path in the park I suddenly discovered this:
